A Practical Nurse (PN) does a large share of the direct
patient care in health facilities, providing for the
emotional and physical comfort and safety of patients.
The PN assists with the planning and implementation
of care, and reports on changes in patients' conditions.
The PN program includes classroom studies, practice
in a lab setting and hands-on experience in the field.
Graduates will be prepared to take the practical
nursing licensing examination to become designated
as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
