We've come along way.
In November 2001, MedVance Institute opened the first Florida campus in Atlantis, Florida. In October of 2005, the school was moved to a beautiful campus in Palm Springs, Florida, which is southwest of West Palm Beach, Florida.
In June 2002, the second Florida campus was established in Miami, Florida.
In September of 2002, MedVance Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, the third Florida school, was established.
MedVance Institute, located in Port St. Lucie, Florida, was previously the Port St. Lucie School of Practical Nursing established in 1990. In June of 2003, the nursing school was acquired by MedVance Institute and moved to Stuart, Florida. In May of 2011, the campus relocated back to Port St. Lucie to a brand new 35,000-square-foot facility, which is twice as large as the previous campus. The larger campus will provide room for the addition of the new skilled trades programs.
In 2011, six of the MedVance campuses (Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Cookeville, Tennessee, Nashville, Tennessee, Houston (North), Texas, Houston (South), Texas, and Grand Prairie, Texas) rebranded to Fortis. Visit fortis.edu to learn more about these campuses.
Today MedVance continues to offer expert healthcare career training as well as expanding their career training programs into new fields, including HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration).
